This Torah class is brought to you by TorahAnytime.com. Oh, so make it easier for me. Okay, good. Okay, they want me to speak in English. So the truth is, Rav, you should have told me I had to speak. All right, so I'll talk from the heart. So I want to begin again. Let me start again by telling you how lucky you are, and how lucky the entire Queens community, and how lucky the entire Bucharian community, that they have a Rav HaRoshi that's a gaon in learning, talmid chacham muflag, וכל העבודה שלו רק לרומם קרן התורה. So my bracha to the Rav is that you should succeed, יש מצליח, in avodas hakodesh לאורך ימים ושנים. Witziateh dishmaya, witziateh dishmaya, witziateh dishmaya. I also want to acknowledge Rav Eliyahu ben Chaim, ata lo yodea, ani talmid shelcha. Harav Eliyahu ben Chaim, ata noten li smicha, ani... ani eshev im kulam po, v'ani ekabel smicha. Ani muchan. Ani muchan. He doesn't know, Rav. I used to come to the Kollel, and there was one thing I have to say, that I till today, tavi, tavi, tavi, tavi, tavi. Anyone who's ever in the Kollel knows, you say a sevara, Tavi, tavi, tavi, tavi, tavi, tavi. No, nachon? Et ze ahavti, kibalti harbeh. Rav, I took a lot from you, and I appreciate, and I appreciate. I don't know who this guest is, but shalom aleichem. I do know the Rav. I met your son, Baruch Karadavua. Ah, he's a dinute, he's a tzidkus. Yafeh meod, yafeh meod, shetatzliach ba'avodas hakodesh. I also want to say hello to Rav. Thank you. Tzadik Rav Nasirov, tzadik, tzadik, yeshar koach. So let me just, b'kitzur, one minute. I took already—see, I'm a very smart speaker. I know how to do it. What I do is I take up a minute and a half with all the shvachim, and then we get to the l'maaseh. All right, listen. The emes is, I don't have to say anything. Hapeirot, the fruits speak for themselves. Look, look, look, look, look, look, look. This is a yom tov in your community. You don't understand the zechus you have, the zechus that you're able to produce such bnei Torah. It's something very, very special. Mesiras nefesh for Torah, mesiras nefesh for Torah. That's how you build a community. That's how you do it. One by one, I know them years, every single one of them, how much they toiled and how much they gave up and how much they learned Torah. HaKadosh Baruch Hu, and I'll tell you a story. Just as I'm talking, something came into my mind. Hadran alach, hadran alan. The siyum is what? I won't forget about you, and I will come back to you. And we ask the masechet, Hadrach, come back to me. What does that mean, come back to me? So I'll tell you a story from the Chafetz Chaim, which I think this is the pshat in the hadran. You're making a siyum on Brachos also today, if I'm not mistaken. So the drasha na'aset me'elah. This is what it means. When a person is zoche...
Hold on a second. Okay. So I'll tell you an unbelievable story, a story that my grandfather told me, and I heard it from my father's shlita as well. The shidduch of my grandfather, Reb Shmuel David Walkin, to the grandchild of the Radin Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Moshe Landinsky, was the idea of Reb Elchanan Wasserman. That was his; he was the shadchan, so to speak. And he came to Rav Moshe Landinsky and he said, I think this is shidduch. This is a good shidduch. When they came to tell the Chofetz Chaim that the shidduch is happening, the Chofetz Chaim said, It's a good idea. I like the shidduch. Chofetz Chaim said, I like the shidduch. Now listen carefully, chevra, rabbanim, listen, listen, listen to what Torah is. Listen, listen carefully. He said the father of Reb Shmuel David Walkin was the Beis Aharon. The Rav mentioned the Skan Aharon. It depends in which community. In the yeshivas they loved the Beis Aharon; by the rabbanim they liked the Skan Aharon. Others liked the Choshen Aharon and the Meitzach. Everything's Aharon. I'll tell you a nice story, gradah. Do I have an extra minute to do—? No, I don't have extra. Okay, so I won't tell you the story, so I'll finish this story. So the Chofetz Chaim said, the Chofetz Chaim said, I like the shidduch. The Bochber, Reb Shmuel, said— What was the ma'alah of the Beit Aharon? Why was he zoche to be marbitz Torah through his sefarim? Because he was meshamesh his rebbe, the Netziv. Me too, I also said Rebbi Chashmuel. I also was close to Netziv, even though he went with Reb Chaim. Not for now the history, halachah and Reb Chaim, v'lo im ha-Netziv. But the Beit Aharon is lomash yado mitoch yado. When they told this over to the Beit Aharon, the Beit Aharon said, It's true. When the rebbe, the Netziv, passed away, for one year my eyes were tearing, my eyes were wet. That's how much love he had for his rebbe. That's how much love he had for his rebbe, said Chafetz Chaim. That's what Birchas Shmuel. That's what Reb Boruch Ber says. I say a different reason why I like this shidduch, why the Beit Aharon was zoche to become such a gadol baTorah. The Beit Aharon wrote a sefer on Bava Kama in jail. The communists, they put him in jail. They gave him just a Gemara with paper, and he sat there and wrote the entire sefer on Bava Kama b'mesirus nefesh, said the Chafetz Chaim. The Torah loves those that learn it with mesirus nefesh, v'haTorah mechazeres. The Torah goes after those that are moser nefesh for it. And because he was moser nefesh for it, meila, the Torah says, I want to be by this person. Hadran alach. Daitan alach. I think about you all day, Torah. That's all I love. That's ki heim chayeinu v'orech yameinu. That's my life, says the Torah. By you I want to be. Hadran alach. You come back to me. Daitan alach. HaTorah mechazeres al eilu shemosrim nafsham al haTorah. There's a lot of lessons here. The first lesson is the kesher of a rebbe to a talmid. Avreichim, you're going out. You're going to teach Torah. Understand your talmidim are your children. V'chol banayich limudei Hashem, al tikri banayich ela bonayich. That's how you build Torah. You want to know how to build Torah? Treat your talmidim as though they're your children. Love them. Care for them. Think about them all the time. Be moser nefesh for them. V'chol banayich limudei Hashem, v'haTorah mechazeres al eilu shemosrim nafsham. I wish all of you take this lesson. I loved you.
You know that every talmid by me is my child. I care about them. You were zoche to learn by a big rebbe. Remember the kesher with the rebbe. Remember what you got from the rebbe. Appreciate. Appreciate what you got. U'vazeh tisku, and with this you'll be zoche, boneiich tefil Torah further in your community. L'orech yamim v'shanim. Mazel tov, mazel tov, mazel tov, mazel tov. And, Baruch Hashem, I didn't prepare, so whatever came out, dvarim hayotzim min halev nichnasim el halev. Mazel tov, mazel tov. You've just experienced another Torah class brought to you by TorahAnytime.com.
