This Torah class is brought to you by TorahAnytime.com. Before every Yontif, we talk about the Yontif and the hachanah for the Yontif. Shavuos, the Yontif of Kabbalas HaTorah. What is the avodah? What's ha'id? Davka in the Yontif, that Yidden has to take away from the Yontif. So farshteyt zach and understood, it's not necessary to point out. Obviously, it's Kabbalas HaTorah anew. Yet, the yar, every year, we're mekabel the Torah anew. So between all the hanhagos and all the seudos, we can't forget the literal inyan of the Yontif, to mekabel the Torah. Zogt in Rebbeinu Shleimah, Rebbeinu Shleimah, I'm mekabel the Torah again. Az evi b'maamad Har Sinai, Klal Yisroel said, Naaseh v'nishma. Rebbeinu Shleimah, Naaseh v'nishma. Sometimes, with all the deep understandings and pshatim in Torah that we have in the Yontif, we overlook the kipshutei, the pashut pshat. And the simple chiyuvim, and the simple inyan of the Yontif, Chabeisei metalnish, forgetsin, naaseh v'nishma. Zogt der Ribono Shel Olam, mekabel nachamo. Zevi mein a tattes, am yishtanen af Har Sinai, un mitgezogt naaseh v'nishma, Ribono Shel Olam, ich zog naaseh v'nishma. But there's a nekudah which I think is important to stress, a point in the Yontif which gives so much meaning and understanding and beauty to the Yontif of Shavuos. It'd be important that we point it out and speak about it. The Yontif of Shavuos, we call it Shavuos, but Chazal gave it a different name. Chazal call it Atzeres. Many places in the Gemaras, the Gemara calls Shavuos Atzeres. Hakol modim deba'Atzeres ba'inan lachem. The Gemara says, Ba'Atzeres donin al peiros ha'ilan. The Gemara calls Shavuos not the way the Torah calls it. The Torah doesn't give it a name Atzeres, but in Chazal, that's the name of the Yontif, Atzeres. That's the she'eilah today. What does it mean? Obviously, if we open up the key to the translation of the Yontif Atzeres, it opens up the key to the whole Yontif. We find another Yontif. Mitzvah is also called Atzeres, and that the Torah already calls Atzeres, and that's Shemini Atzeres. Vayom haShemini Atzeres tihyeh lachem. The Torah, the Torah calls Shemini Atzeres Atzeres. Chazal said that this is the name for Shavuos, and the name is actually found in the Torah by Shemini Atzeres, which today we have two days Yom Tov in Chutz Laaretz; there's already Simchas Torah as well. Shemini Atzeres in Eretz Yisrael is one day, and Simchas HaTorah in Eretz Yisrael is the day of Shemini Atzeres, and that's Atzeres tihyeh lachem. Is there a connection? Did Chazal use the word Atzeres, the name Atzeres, because something about Shemini Atzeres is also a basic inyan in the inyan of Shavuos? So of course we know the Ramban speaks about it. It's a long Ramban about it. I would like to point out another nekudah: why the name Atzeres, and it was borrowed from Shemini Atzeres. Shemini Atzeres, we know...

Is a lashon of connection with the Rabbeinu Shleilam. Chazal say, Ani v'atah. Me and you, Shemini Atzeres is the Rabbeinu Shleilam with the Yid. There are no mitzvahs. There is no special avodah, just Ani v'atah. Me and you, na'aseh seudah ketanah. We'll make a small seudah. The Gemara in Kiddushin daf vav says actually Atzeres is one of the leshonos of kiddushin. The Gemara says, Atzurasi mahu? A person would tell a woman, You are my atzeres. The woman's thinking, What do you mean? Do you mean, what am I? I'm your Shemini Atzeres? I'm your shvuas? What am I? Yes, Atzurasi. I want to say that you are my atzeres. Tosafos explains, what does it mean? Ne'esefes imi babayis. Me and you, we're locked in the house, so to speak. Ne'esaf el habayis. We're together. We're locked together, put together in one home, ne'esefes el habayis. And that, says the Gemara, is one of the leshonos of kiddushin: Atzeres, atzurasi mahu. Interesting. Atzeres. We find by Shemini Atzeres also Chazal use that lashon: Come with me and make with me, separately, with nobody else, what? A seudah ketanah, me and you alone. Ich mitir a suda ketana. Ne'esefes imi babayis, is a loshon of atzeres, kedusha, Shavuos. We also find the same inyan by Pesach. We find that there's an erusin and a nisuin. The meforshim tell us Pesach was the erusin, Shavuos was the nisuin, was the marriage, the marriage. Shemini Atzeres is like yichud, HaKadosh Baruch Hu. Come with me in the home alone. Shavuos is Yom chasnuso uveYom simchas libo. The pasuk in Shir HaShirim tells us, Tze'ena ure'ena bnos Tzion, baMelech Shlomo, ba'atarah she'itra lo imo, beYom chasnuso, beYom simchas libo. Yom chasnuso is a Matan Torah, a chasunah. We're starting to see that the word atzeres by Shemini Atzeres and the name Atzeres by Shavuos might have the same meaning, might have the same inyan, the same kavanah. The Torah says it only by Shemini Atzeres. Chazal say it's also Shavuos; that's the name of Shavuos. The Targum actually even translates beshvuoseichem on the Yontif of Shavuos. So the Targum, tatzil toichen, which means atzeres. So Shavuos and Atzeres is even the Targum somehow. It's the translation of Shavuos. Bishleima, you hear? Bishleima, nu? Bishleima, we will say that the name is appropriate. Shemini Atzeres is Shavuos, okay? Which, like in a minute, we'll chazer what we just said. But the translation of bishvuos means atzil techen. The pasuk on Bamidbar chaf ches over there by the korbanos, bishvuos... So the Targum, atzil techen. Shavuos? Unless he's just translating, you should know Shavuos is Atzeres. It's mashma even more that something about the name of Shavuos even has to do with Atzeres. So emes la'amito, rabosai. Yeah, again, rabosai. Atzeres, everybody knows. Atzeres, Shemini Atzeres, no?

Chazal tell us, Hatzaeres is shvuos. Is that a borrowed name? So why is it borrowed? Why did the chachamim feel to take Shemini Atzeres and say Shvuos is called Atzeres? I'm showing you something interesting. What is Shemini Atzeres? Atzeres we find by kiddushin, by marriage. Atzerasi mah, Gemara in Kiddushin, daf vav amud aleph, the mefurasha Gemara, and Tosafos says because it's nesafos, you're together with me in the home alone. Chazal tell us that's Shemini Atzeres, suda ketanah. Make a small seudah, just me and you, just me and you alone, nobody else is involved. Yichud, as they zog in meforshim. Shemini Atzeres is the yichud. I'm sheyichud with the Ribono Shel Olam, and that's why the goyim says there's no other mitzvahs, there's nothing else. It's just me and you, the relationship, the kesher with the Ribono Shel Olam, just me and you. Good. Shvuos? Atzeres maybe. Shvuos we find in Chazal is Yom chasnuso. It's the day that we have a chasnah with the Ribono Shel Olam. You know, Sefardim have a minhag that they read something called Shtarei Ksuba. They read it. It's written by a Rishon—actually not by a Rishon, it was written by a talmid of the Arizal. Reb Yisrael Magrah, the talmid of the Arizal, wrote something called Shtarei Ksuba. And in it, Sefardim do it. What's wrong with that? We see them also do it maybe. They read it. They read it on what you saw. I don't know. Maybe because it goes with the Tikun Leil Shavuos, that just like many people say with Daf Lamed, and they don't do Tikun Leil Shavuos, maybe they don't do this either. But it's brought down. It's a famous thing from the Talmud of the Arizal. It's a beautiful thing. It's a shtarik seudah, the kesubah, the chassan, the eibishter, the Klal Yisrael, and all the conditions that Klal Yisrael accepts by the marriage, by Matan Torah, and the conditions that the Eibishter has to keep, to mechabed Klal Yisrael, to feed Klal Yisrael. It's beautiful. It's a poetic thing. Many kehillos, they read it. Shavuos is Yom Chasnusay, literally, of the chassan with the Eibishter. Ani v'atah, it's me and you, marriage, Yom Chasnusay. I'll tell you something interesting, rabosai, but before I do that, I just want to come back to the Targum. The Targum says that it's actually the translation of the word bishvu'oseichem. The Targum is always to translate. The Targum is to mefaresh the milim, the words. Are we to learn that the Targum saw in bishvu'oseichem the name of the Torah actually, atzeres also? Now what is the name Shavuos? Where does it come from? Most Rishonim say it's because of Sefiras HaOmer. Since Sefiras HaOmer, we count the days, the weeks, up to Matan Torah, so Shavuos, Yontif takes on the hachanah, the preparation to the Yontif. Shtei ta'amim laRishonim, kipshutei. Shavuos has to do with Sefiras HaOmer, which is weeks and days we count, and it's all the hachanah. 48 days, 48 kinyanim. ... 49 days. So it depends if in the Litvish oilam, you say alomdishe vort, it's the shleimus of having all 48 kinyanim is the 49th kinyan. That 49th day, all you learn chazara, vas iz shlecht, after 48, daf mechazerin. So you have 49 days. Al kol panim, this is already a famous reid, Sfas Emes, Rabbarin in the shiurim, al kol panim, Shavuos is because of Sefiras HaOmer, the weeks that lead into the Yom Tov. Or maybe Shavuos has to do with atzeres. See the Targum, the Targum, nusach, the loshon from the Chachamim, unless he stops saying you should know that Shavuos is atzeres. Targum, l'choira, is more than just—should have said b'Shvuosichem. Chachmei, the Yom Tov is zecher Shavuos also. Mi'dachtach that the Targum saw in the word b'Shvuosichem also the inyan of atzeres, and the way we understanding atzeres. But I want to—

I'll tell you something about Beisai. The Maharam Ruttenberg in the Tashbatz explained that all our minhagim that we have at a chasunah comes from Ma'amad Har Sinai Kabbalas HaTorah. I think they list close to forty minhagim that we have at chasunas. The original mekor of all these minhagim is Matan Torah. The Maharam Ruttenberg says, why do we go with candles? We go with candles, the chosson, candles, right? ... It was lightning, kolos uvrakim. Today I would say it's the photographer snapping the pictures under the chuppah, ... Echt kein sein. You ... the chosson. Some have the minhag that the kallah comes out. I'm sorry, the chosson comes out to greet the kallah. It's also Ma'amad Har Sinai. Moshe Rabbeinu took the people, he was melaveh them to Har Sinai. The Ribbono Shel Olam is the chosson, the chosson comes out to greet the kallah. It's all Maharam Ruttenberg, rishon, rabosai. The inyan of chuppah, where does the chuppah come from? Nu, harkagigis. Can't go into right now, is harkagigis a bad thing or a good thing? Too bad it can't be. We try to redo it. We try to remodel our chuppahs today. Unless maybe the chuppah's a harka gigis too. I don't want to get involved in that. But pashtus, pashtus laveisai. Pashtus, what's the pashtus? Harka gigis, achsheinah zach, hagutah zach. I, in the shiurim past years, we spoke about the harka gigis. I want to tell you more. Why do we break a glass under the chuppah? Reikeach. The Rambam also brings it. The Reikeach in siman shin nun gimel says, mei shebroke the luchos. U'meilah tzorech brechah mina glaz. You break a glass. Unbelievable. Now again, is it a good thing? I can tell you a whole shtickel Torah, but then you'll be upset at me, and there'll be ka'ilos u'prakim like Ma'amad Har Sinai here. Milsa dishta. The Chazal tell us clearly, sheishivinah. Who was the unterfirer? Moshe, al yad Zuta. Where do we get the concept of sheishivinah, an unterfirer, what we call—Chazal say Moshe did it by Ma'amad Har Sinai, al yad Zuta, perek yud tes. I'll tell you more. The nusach, mekadesh amo Yisrael al yedei... Mekadesh amo Yisrael. How did mekadesh amo Yisrael get in here? So the Rishonim, pashut. What happened by Ma'amad Har Sinai? Borei olam mekadesh Klal Yisrael. Lech v'kidashtam hayom u'machar. No, stam today you got to prepare more than three days for a chasunah. In those days, but it's mashma three days was good enough. Al kol panim, they prepared. The Kiddashta mayomim macha. You know, rabbeisai, I want to tell you something. We even put flowers in the shul. Yes, flowers, nish flowers, yeah. Maaseh agoyim. The goyim, you’re not allowed to do it. People do it. No? Why do we have flowers? Many reasons, but the simple reason that every child knows is because Maymer Har Sinai, yeah? So I don’t know, it’s mashma Maymer Sinai had grass. I don’t know if they had flowers. Should you put grass instead of flowers? Haganze shakla v’tarya. You know, this famous, famous rage: should you put flowers, shvuos flowers? And one of the simple reasons is Maymer Har Sinai. You know, there’s a whole tumult. If you have flowers by the chuppah, a big tumult. Most acharonim, Mechas Yitzchak, and way before him also already spoke about it. Chukas haakum. It’s interesting. I don’t know, the chuppah of Maymer Har Sinai had flowers, chreisa. It’s a problem I have always had. It’s a kasha I’ve always had. And it’s interesting that the goyim held that even in the shul for the Shvuos is also chukas haakum. Interesting. What am I trying to bring out? Maymer Har Sinai was literally a chuppah, rabbeisai. It’s niskein mashal v’nimshal. We learn all the halachos, all the halachos.

All the minhagim of chasunah comes from Ma'amad Har Sinai. It קומט ממש גלייך פון מעמד הר סיני. I gotta throw in a bissel a Chassidishe... a Chassidishe... the heilige... ... In Zohar Parshas Pinchas, vet gebracht that all the neshamos of all the zeides are kumen tzu a chasunah. Some פירוש is Zohar. When all the rebben, ... ... it’s a Zohar, some פירוש is Zohar. ... they go, they take the invitation and they bring it to the kever, ... Someone has a cousin that was married into a Chassidishe mishpachah, he knows from that. From the Baal Shem’s mishpachah, they put a chair, ten doros, they put a chair for the Baal Shem. It’s a Zohar, some פירוש is Zohar. I don’t know, could have something to do with Ma'amad Har Sinai, that all the neshamos came down to Ma'amad Har Sinai to be part of the chasunah of Klal Yisroel. Could be. It could also be a p’shat shaychus. I don’t know, interesting. It’s interesting how we find all the things, and according to many Rishonim, the reason why we stand by the chasunah, the people of ... they stand, the chasan, the kallah, for the kallah yev, for the... that’s, they’re standing for the Shechinah, according to many Rishonim. Yiddish shtub. What’s the Yiddish shtub? Yish v’ishah, Shechinah shruyah beineihem. A lot has to do with Ma'amad Har Sinai. It’s the same inyonim of Ma'amad Har Sinai: v’rastich li l’olam, yom simchasoi, yom simchas liboi. Let me show you something now about the name Shvuos. Is Shvuos weeks, or is Shvuos shvuah, swearing? The Chida learns that it's about swearing. Notice that it's shvuos, plural. Klal Yisrael and the Ribono Shel Olam swore to each other, but we call it in English today vows, marriage vows. It's like in Gittin, daf nun-vav, daf nun-zayin says that there was two shvuos that were made on Har Sinai. The Ribono Shel Olam swore to Klal Yisrael, He'll never take another, and Klal Yisrael swore to the Eibishter, they'll never take another. Shvuos is up to the Chida. The hint of a shvuos means we're attached to the Eibishter with a vow, with a shvuah. Shvuoseichem, b'shvuos, it's plural. The Chida in Avas Dovid, drush tezayin, אומר די Chida, do we understood shvuos? Shvuos means we're attached. It's a kesubah. You can't just get rid of me. A lot of eidin, the Rishonim, Acharonim, soita, Klal Yisrael was a soita by the eigel. So there's a lot of ra'ayah if a shvuah goes both ways, on a two-way shvuah, even if one of them doesn't keep the shvuah, the other one has to keep the shvuah. There's a lot of talk about this. We won't go into it right now. The Zohar, daf lamed-zayin, that Rabbi Nu Gershom was called Me'or... Nu, Rabosai, me'eir hagolah. Why was he called Meir HaGolah? The light of the golus. But the zeide is zogin, he made two gezeiros, two takanos. He made one takanah that you can't be megareish בעל כרחה. You can't force a divorce. If the other party doesn't, the wife doesn't want, even though the Torah says you could, no, if the wife doesn't want. And the second thing is you can't marry two Klal Yisroel survival in the golus was based on this takanah. We sinned, so Rabbeinu Shalom would get rid of—no, he can't, because you can't be megareish בעל כרחה. So he'll take another nation. And the answer is, you can't take a second. So he was called Me'ir, the light of the golus. This kept us throughout the doros. The goyim always tainted, You sinned, you're not the am hanivchar. It goes back to the shvuos. HaKadosh Baruch Hu and Klal Yisroel swore to each other, loyalty through thick and through thin, no matter what. The Rabbeinu Shalom swore he will not take another.

We're not leaving. Atzurasi means nesaf. It means bound. B'shvuoseichem. Remember the Targum Rabbeisai. How does the Targum translate the shvuos? It means weeks, like most meforshim learn, but could be the Chidush pshat. B'shvuoseichem. It means shvuos. It means atzirut teichain, that we are atzur. We are combined together, can't get rid of each other. We're attached. Atzurasi mahu, the lashon of kedushin. How does this ahavah express itself? You know, Rabbeisai, every Yid has a tremendous ahavah for the Ribono Shel Olam. No matter what he goes through, no matter what happens, the greatest expression of ahavah that a Yid feels and has to the Ribono Shel Olam is through Torah. There's nothing like learning a blatt Gemara. There's nothing like learning a piece of Chumash. There's nothing. No matter, you're right, so me'eidik gezagt to have ahavas Hashem. A Yid has ahavas Hashem anyway. But the real ahavas Hashem expresses itself through the Torah. Simchas Torah and Shavuos is about Torah because it's about atzurasi. It's about the kesher, the marriage, the chibur with the Ribono Shel Olam. And therefore, Simchas Torah. And then all the mefarshim ask, why Simchas Torah? Do we dance with the Torah, hashaiches, and that's the teretz. The simcha, the chasanah. What's the chasanah, rabosai? Think of a chasanah, and how do you get to this chasanah? And the teretz is, the simcha is takke in the Torah alone. It's in the Torah itself. And I'll tell you a Chazal. Chazal say, Vayikchu li terumah. Medrash, Shemos Rabbah, the Medrash says that the Ribono Shel Olam's name, the Ribono Shel Olam Himself, is in the Torah. Torahs Ya al tazovu, ki lekach tov nasati lachem, תורתי אל תעזובו ויקחו לי תרומה. How do you take li? How do you take me? You take me through the Torah. It's in the פירוש of Chazal, and all the baalei Torah speak about it. It's very interesting, rabosai. How does one actually mekasher himself with the Ribono Shel Olam? And the teretz is through the Torah. That's what it means that the shtar kesubah is the Torah alone. It's the Torah itself. There's an interesting Medrash. The Medrash, it's the sefer Eliyahu Rabbah, Medrash says that when did the Ribono Shel Olam say, Vayikchu li terumah? After they said Naaseh v'nishma. Mishpatim, Yisro is Naaseh v'nishma, right away Vayikchu li terumah. Why Naaseh v'nishma means Vayikchu li terumah? So this is the pshat, rabosai. Naaseh v'nishma is Kabbalas haTorah. They accepted, they accepted the chasnus of the Ribono Shel Olam, to become mekushar with the Ribono Shel Olam. Hamemeila, right away, v'yikchu li terumah. Hakdamos. Why do we say hakdamos on Shavuos, Chag HaBeisai? Some have the minhag to even say hakdamos during the seudah. Some minhagim have it. What is hakdamos? Written by R' Meir, R' Yitzchak Shliach Tzibbur — that's his last name, Shliach Tzibbur. Rashi and Tosafos. Rashi in Eisheh and Tosafos in Rosh Hashanah daf yud aleph both quote this R' Meir. So he was a paytan way before Rashi and Tosafos. What is hakdamos? Hakdamos, Chag HaBeisai, just by a chassan. What happens by a chassan? B'yom simchas libo, b'yom simchaso, you speak shevachim of the chassan, you speak shevachim of the kallah. The ultimate moment of chibur. The expression of that chibur is mechayev shevachim, the chassan, the kallah. That's hakdamos. Hakdamos, milin v'shavchin, yeshusus, shevach, because it's yom simchas libo, that kesher. We give matanos today by a chasunah, by yichud room, according to many minhagim, they bring by the yichud room. It's brought down in Acharonim. The whole question with the mekor —

And the teretz is, rabosai, mekarev it is matan Torah. The Ribono Shel Olam gave us a matanah. That's the matanah. B'yam chasnusei, uv'yom simchas libo, the chosson gave the kallah matanah. I want to show you something interesting. When Yaakov Avinu gave Rochel matanos, what did he give her? Asarah. He gave her shnei tzmidim. Rashi says, what was the shnei tzmidim? What was it? It was the luchos, it was the Torah. It's interesting. Same, same mekaches, rabosai. The matanah that Yaakov gives Rochel, it's the same mekaches. This is the matanah. What's the pshat? I want to tell you something interesting. What is the jewelry by the chasan? People don't know this. It's mefurash a Chinuch. You know, kiddushin actually is only kesef, shtar, and bi'ah. That's kiddushin, that's marriage: kesef, shtar, and bi'ah. Rather, the mefarshim say the Ribono Shel Olam did the same for us. Kesef, He gave us bizas hayam; He was mekadesh us. Shtar, He gave us the Torah, the shtar. That's the whole inyan of the shtar kesubah, the Torah aleinu is the shtar. We need a nice raya to this. I once thought of a very nice raya by the din of eved. And pirsus naala b'nevet. Why? Ki li Bnei Yisrael avadai heim. They already became my avadim by what? By Yetzias Mitzrayim. The nusach of Rashi: shtari kodem l'shtarach. My shtar came before your shtar. You have a shtar that you're an eved for this guy? I have a shtar with you already from before. He says, איזו מצוה? Shtari. What shtar is he talking about? So pashut he means the chov, and the chov is represented in the word shtari. My document. What document? Which shtar is he talking about? And the answer is shtar, the shtar of the Torah. My shtar that says Ki li Bnei Yisrael is before his shtar. Shtari. What's biah? V'shachanti b'socham. Zohar. It's a together of biah, that the Ribono Shel Olam is mischaber with the Yid mamash k'echad. Okay, this is all good. Why the jewelry? I want to tell you something interesting. There's a peledige Chinuch, chaveisai. You see the time, we're going to end in a moment or so. The Chinuch in seif tof kuf nun beis, siman tof kuf nun beis, says that actually you just need money. So why a ring? And the answer is the ring is something that you always remember that you're koneh to the baal. We're mesaken to take the money and to give it in a way that the wife walks around and says, Oh, I remember my husband. Remember my husband, I see all the time. The Rabbeinu Shlelem gave us v'yikchu li terumah. He gave us the Torah, gave us a matanah that we carry with us. What's that? That we always remember the noisen haTorah, that the Rabbeinu Shlelem gave us the Torah, v'rastich li l'olam. So what do I do? So I'll give you hisoirus a piece, but I think the Yontif, and I feel that everybody would agree with me what the Yontif means. A bissel a mussar. Ain tafkid of זאגן מוסר, ... For me it's easier to give you the hisoirus than the mussar. They say a rav in Lakewood has to give mussar. All right, so I'll give mussar a little, but we'll pad it that it should be soft and sweet, should be masik midvash. This hisoirus, chaveisai, please don't forget the beauty of the Yontif. B'yom chasnuso uv'yom simchas libo. Shein Yontif, shein beautiful Yontif, a chasunah, beautiful simchah, the opportunity to become connected to the Rabbeinu Shlelem. Yes, naaseh v'nishma means we have—

If it's dorim in yeshiva that you had through the year that fell away because of difficulties, naaseh v'nishma. If the rebbe mikabel, be strong and al inyonim, especially limud haTorah. Chazak zayin in limud haTorah. Das is the pshutah fun der Yontif. That is the simple, simplest chiyuv of the Yontif, naaseh v'nishma. If it means to come to the lunch and learn, then you say you're coming to the lunch and learn. It doesn't turn from fifty people to twenty people. Just kidding, I don't mind. I know there's a mahalach; it's through the video now. It's a new mahalach. Everybody tells me they came to the shiur. I said, I didn't see you. But I saw you. Ra'ayah v'eina nishma, nishma v'eina ra'ayah, you know. Okay, granted. Rabosai, that's the pshutei of the Yontif, naaseh v'nishma: to be mekabel al l'zachen, vaiter zayn a ben Torah, a yarei Shamayim. Another part of the Yontif is Yom Chasnuso, kesher with the Eibishter, kesher with the Eibishter, and to have simchah in it, and understand that the Torah is the kesubah. And this is the kiyum of Klal Yisroel, that without this b'shvuaseichem, this is the shevuah. The beauty of the heilige Yontif, a beautiful Yontif, hakdamos. Prepare the hakdamos, prepare it. It's so beautiful, the emotions, so many ways of describing feelings to the Ribono Shel Olam. And now for the mussar. For the last 22 seconds. I can't do more than 22 seconds, otherwise ich ken nisht shvanen. Imagine a person comes to his chasunah. It's his wedding, and he's busy with the smorgasbord, and he's busy with the cheesecake at the end of the chasunah. Now, bishleima if the cheesecake had a picture of the chassan and the kallah on it, the Rabbeinu Shleimah, kallah Yisroel. Nu, halbetzah.
